Beachcomber Bash 2026!

It is with great delight that I travel to Portland, Oregon next weekend to perform at the Beachcomber Bash tiki event.
This means more to me than just about any other bill because it was my love of tiki that spurred me to get back into magic nearly 12 years ago. My vision was for a 1960s tiki themed magic act. I imaged how cool that would look. The music would be perfect, the styling on point. I had all that squared away in my head, all that was left was the hard part: learning magic!
Something I impress upon people I teach is that being good at magic, or anything for that matter takes time. While I had my vision, it was important to actually get good at magic. While I started a tiki act early on, as it turns out, marrying a concept to magic is a challenge unto itself. I soon drifted away from the tiki, but the 1960s aesthetic has always remained strong.
I was excited to be asked to perform at Beachcomber Bash so I could get back to where it all began, now with a bustling bag of tricks and head full of ideas and a belly fully of rum. That last one may prove problematic, so maybe I'll go easy on that!
